Madison County, Kentucky, farm laborer and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Thomas A. English and Jane English. Farm laborer in Madison County in 1860. Served in the 8th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as second corporal from January 15, 1862 to January 25, 1863. Died of wounds from battle on January 25, 1863.
