Kenton County, Kentucky, physician, farmer, and soldier. Madison, Indiana, native. Educated in the Jefferson County, Indiana. Graduate of the College of Franklin in 1854. Studied medicine under Dr. J. R. Halderman of Madison. Assessor in Jefferson County. School commissioner in Jefferson County. Graduate of the University of New York in 1859. Began practicing medicine in Independence, Kentucky in from 1859 to 1887. Colonel of the 60th Regiment of Kentucky Militia in 1863.
