Whereas on or about the 5^th day of May 1865. One Green Johnson killed and murdered John Miller of Adair County Kentucky and immediately thereafter fled from the County aforesaid and is now running at large and whereas at the May term 1865 of the Adair Circuit Court Said Green Johnson was Indicted for the Murder aforesaid, It is an aggravated case of murder These are therefore to Petition & request your Excellency Tho E Bramlette Govner of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to offer a reward for the apprehension of Said Green Johnson and suggest that the highest amount authorized by the Statute be offered Witness my hand as Judge of the Adair circuit Court this 5^th June 1865
