Member of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from 1859 to 1862. Attorney in Adair County in 1860. Owned seven enslaved persons in Adair County in 1860. Member of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from 1863 to 1865. Provost marshal of the 4th District of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from May 1863 to December 1863. Judge of the 15th Judicial District of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from 1864 to 1874.
