Dear Sir

I was fined by the Lexington City Court $50⁰⁰ on the 30^th day of this month on the charge in the enclosed warrant for keaping open my Tavern House on Sunday, and under the following law which I ask. you to read. I did not keep open my Bar on sunday's as on other days, but as the Bar has an opining to it from the inside of my House, Guest did occasionaly get Liquor on sunday. The Law as you will see is not against selling liquor but against keeping my Tavern House open on Sunday.

This I cant avoid and keep Tavern
