Some time about the last of March I forwarded to the address of Gov^r Bramlett The Petitions of John Pitman Jonathan M^cNeill and E S M^cNeill, asking to be relieved from the payment of fines adjudged against them at the March Term of the Laurel Circuit Court 1864

A short time afterward I also forwarded the petition of Mike Wyrick for a similar purpose and remittances in his cases was returned immediately, never having received any thing in regard to the first named petition I fear they have been lost in the mail
