Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private and corporal from September 22, 1862 to October 24, 1862. Reported as deserted at Frankfort on October 24, 1862. Farmer in Jessamine County in 1863. Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Light Artillery Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from October 6, 1863, to October 5, 1864.
