Louisville, Kentucky, merchant and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Joseph Raplee and Sarah Kellum Raplee. Married to Mattie J. Wilkerson Raplee. Father of Sylvester Mason Raplee. Merchant in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1861. Served in the 4th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry (U.S.A.) as a captain and first lieutenant from November 11, 1861, to February 28, 1863. Produce merchant in partnership with John W. Stockton in Louisville in 1865.
