Franklin County, Kentucky, cabinetmaker and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of William Veach and Nancy Veach. Attended school in Franklin County, Kentucky, in 1850. Cabinetmaker in Franklin County in 1860. Served in the 22nd Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private and sergeant from December 2, 1862, to December 24, 1864. Served in the 7th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a sergeant from December 24, 1864, to July 18, 1865.
