Boyd County, Kentucky, clerk and soldier. Medina County, Ohio, native. Son of R. P. Seaton and Frances Abbot Seaton. Married to Mary Allen Womack in Catlettsburg on September 3, 1863. Clerk in Boyd County, Kentucky, in 1860. Clerk in Boyd County in 1863. Served in the 45th Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A) as first lieutenant and adjutant from November 10, 1863, to December 24, 1864.
