Adair County, Kentucky, resident and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of William H. H. Absher and Talitha J. Wheat Absher. Married to Sarah Jane Humphress Absher in Adair County, Kentucky, on February 26, 1863. Resident of Russell County in 1850. Resident of Adair County in 1860. Served in the 13th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from December 31, 1861 to January 12, 1865. Wounded in battle in Tennessee in November 1863.
