Hopkins County, Kentucky, student at law and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of John L. Woolfolk. Student in Hopkins County, Kentucky, in 1850. Household owned five enslaved persons in Hopkins County in 1850. Student at law in Hopkins County in 1860. Household owned twenty-two enslaved persons in Hopkins County in 1860. Served in the 10th Kentucky Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) as a second lieutenant from December 20, 1862. Captured at Cheshire, Ohio, on July 20, 1863 to January 4, 1865. Prisoner of war at Camp Chase, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Signed a loyalty oath to the U.S. Government on January 4, 1865.
