Mustered in to the 25th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a corporal on January 1, 1862. Served in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from January 1, 1862 to April 25, 1862. Died from wounds received at the Battle of Shiloh on April 25, 1862.
