Webster County, Kentucky, county court clerk and soldier. Kentucky native. Married to Judith Winstead. Father of Watt Winstead. Farmer in Webster County, Kentucky, in 1860. Clerk of the Webster County Court from 1861 to 1863. Served in the 1st Kentucky Cavalry Regiment (C. S. A.) as a third lieutenant from October 17, 1861 to October 1862.
