Hopkins County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Hopkins County, Kentucky, native. Son of Thomas Beshears. Married to Sarah Howell Beshears in Hopkins County, Kentucky, in November 1856. Father of Lydia G. Beshears and Willis D. Beshears. Resident of Hopkins County in 1850. Farm laborer in Hopkins County in 1860. Served in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from December 3, 1864 to January 20, 1865. Died while in service at Russellville, Kentucky, on January 20, 1865.
