Hopkins County, Kentucky, laborer, farmer and soldier. Tennessee native. Married to Elizabeth Canada. Father of William Canada, John Canada, and Andrew Canada. Laborer in Jefferson, Tennessee, in 1850. Farmer in Hopkins County, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as corporal from January 1, 1862, to January 23, 1865. Reported as a deserter in June 1863. Restored to duty on May 5, 1864.
