Hopkins County, Kentucky, farm laborer and soldier. North Carolina native. Son of William T. Tippett and Arena Tippett. Student in Granville County, North Carolina, in 1850. Farm laborer in Hopkins County, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 8th Kentucky Infantry Regiment (C.S.A.) as a private from October 9, 1861. Died of disease on November 5, 1861.
