Morgan County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Son of Isaac Hall and Anna Hall. Kentucky native. Resident of Morgan County, Kentucky, in 1850. Resident of Morgan County in 1860. Convicted of passing counterfeit money and pardoned by Governor Magoffin in spring 1860. Mustered in the 2nd Battalion Mounted Rifles (C.S.A.) as private on August 25, 1862. Reported as deserted on October 18, 1862. Captured at Rowan County, Kentucky, on February 26, 1863. Prisoner of war at Louisville, Kentucky, from May 7, 1863, to May 12, 1863. Paroled at Fort McHenry, Maryland, on May 17, 1863. Farmer in Morgan County, Kentucky, in 1863.
