Harrison County, Kentucky, clerk and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Mathew O. Throckmorton and Elizabeth Throckmorton. Married to Carrie T. Allen Throckmorton in Taylor County, Kentucky, in February 1864. Father of G. William Throckmorton. Clerk in Harrison County in 1860. Served in the 21st Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as private from October 12, 1861, to December 9, 1865.
