Christian County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Farmer in Christian County in 1860. Served in the 25th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as second lieutenant from January 1, 1862, to April 4, 1863. Served in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as first lieutenant and captain from April 13, 1863, to July 23, 1865.
