Clay County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Frank White and Alabama Taylor White. Farm laborer in Manchester, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 7th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as first lieutenant and captain from September 22, 1861, to September 24, 1864.
