Louisville, Kentucky, physician and soldier. Vermont native. Son of Benjamin R. Palmer and Ava Palmer. Graduate of University of Louisville in 1864. Clerk in Rutland, Vermont, in 1860. Served in the 55th Kentucky Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as assistant surgeon from April 4, 1865 to August 12, 1865.
