Owen County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Richard J. Minish and Louisa Rowlett Minish. Resident in Owen County, Kentucky, in 1850. Clerk in Carroll County in 1860. Farmer in Owen County, Kentucky, in 1864. Appointed postmaster in Gratz on April 20, 1864. Served in the 54th Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as private from October 12, 1864, to September 1, 1865.
