Employed Monroe Starns as a farm laborer in Grant County in 1860. Served in the 39th Regiment Kentucky Infantry (U.S.A.) from January 15, 1863, to February 28, 1863. Reported as deserted from Louisa, Kentucky, on February 28, 1863.
