Switzerland County, Indiana, soldier. Indiana native. Son of Michael Houze and Catharine Fay Houze. Resident of Switzerland County in 1860. Served in the 2nd Indiana Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from November 1, 1861, to January 5, 1865.
