Cincinnati, Ohio, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Married to Fannie C. Metcalfe. Father of Rhodale Metcalfe, Fannie Metcalfe, Even Metcalfe, and Allen Metcalfe. Farmer in Hamilton County in 1860. Served as a private and corporal in the 10th Kentucky Cavalry (U.S.A.) from August 11, 1862, to September 17, 1863.
