Madison County, Kentucky, printer and soldier. Madison County native. Son of James White and Frances White. Married to Rebecca Ann Gay White in Madison County on December 29, 1858. Father of John W. White, Mary White, and George White. Resident in Madison County in 1850. Printer in Madison County in 1860. Served in the 3rd Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as private and provost guard from October 8, 1861, to October 13, 1864. Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Light Artillery Regiment (U.S.A.) as private from November 1864 to November 15, 1865. Prisoner in Nashville Military Prison for general court martial from May 1865 to July 1865.
