Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, resident and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Washington Bennett and Indiana Bennett. Married to Fannie Bennett. Married to Martha P. Bennett. Resident of Muhlenberg County in 1850. Served in the 10th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) as captain from August 1, 1862, to July 26, 1863. Prisoner of war at Camp Chase, Ohio. Transferred to Ohio Penitentiary on September 16, 1863.
