Webster County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. New York native. Married to Martha Kuykendall Herrick in Webster County, Kentucky, on March 18, 1863. Father of Nathaniel Herrick and Mary J. Herrick. Farmer in Webster County, Kentucky, in 1863. Served as a private in Leonidas A. Sypert's 12th Regiment of Kentucky Cavalry (C.S.A.). Captured in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on August 22, 1864. Imprisoned at Military Prison in Louisville, Kentucky, and Camp Douglas, Illinois, from December 14, 1864, to May 13, 1865.
