Mississippi attorney and soldier. Columbia, Kentucky, native. Son of Daniel Trabue, Jr. and Mary Paxton Trabue. Married to Hibernia Inge Trabue. Studied law with Judge Zachariah Wheat of Columbia and Thomas B. Monroe, Sr. of Frankfort, Kentucky. Practiced law in Columbia. Veteran of the Mexican-American War. Relocated to Mississippi. Practiced law in Mississippi and Louisiana. Colonel of the 4th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (Confederate) from September 1861 to February 1863. Commanded the First Kentucky Brigade at the Battle of Shiloh. Died of disease in Richmond, Virginia, on February 12, 1863.
