Owsley County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of William Clark. Farmer in Owsley County, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 7th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a captain from October 1861 to February 22, 1863. Served in the 47th Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a lieutenant colonel and colonel from October 20, 1863, to December 26, 1864.
