Sweeney, Marion Sweeney, Allice Sweeney, Elvira Sweeney, Aliva Sweeney, and Edward Sweeney. Brickmason in Casey County in 1850. Bricklayer in Casey County in 1860. Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a captain from July 17, 1861, to April 14, 1862. Served in the 13th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a major from January 15, 1864, to January 10, 1865.
