Pulaski County, Kentucky, soldier. Missouri native. Son of Kizziah Farris. Student in Pulaski County, Kentucky, in 1850. College student in Pulaski County in 1860. Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a corporal, second lieutenant, and captain from October 28, 1861, to September 30, 1865.
