Paducah, Kentucky, county court clerk and circuit court clerk. Kentucky native. Married to Grace Waterson Small on March 1, 1831. Father of Adelaide Small, J. C. Small, and Madora Small. Clerk of the McCracken County Court from 1831 to 1854. Clerk of the McCracken Circuit Court from 1831 to 1865. Treasurer of the Exchange Bank of Paducah in 1837. Manager of the Paducah Male and Female Academy in 1839.
