Pendleton County, Kentucky, clerk and soldier. Pendleton County native. Son of William Moore and Margaret Sanford Braun Moore. Married to Sarah E. Shawhan in Harrison County, Kentucky, on September 9, 1859. Clerk of the Pendleton County Court in 1860. Owned one enslaved person in Pendleton County in 1860. Served in the 4th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) as a captain from September 15, 1862, to April 30, 1865.
