Kentucky farmer, mill owner, livestock breeder, and horse raceman. Lived in Nelson County, Kentucky in 1860. Owned twenty-seven enslaved persons in 1860. Member of the Democratic Party. Participant in a Railroad Convention at Glasgow, Kentucky, in relation to the Louisville & Nashville Railroad in 1850. Partner in the firm Murphy, Blincoe, & Lewis, with C. C. Blincoe and William F. Lewis, until it dissolved in 1854. Owned Mill Creek Mills in 1854. Participated in the Woodlawn Races of 1860.
