Sturgeon Overton in 1854 in Hardin County, Kentucky. Miller in Meade County in 1860. Captain of Company A, 3rd Tennessee (Forrest's) Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) on August 22, 1861. Captured at Fort Donelson, Tennessee on February 16, 1862. Imprisoned at Johnson's Island, Ohio until September 1, 1862. Exchanged at Vicksburg, Mississippi. Captain in the 2nd Kentucky (Woodward's) Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.).
