Proprietor of the Galt House hotel under the name of Silas F. Miller & Co. in Louisville partnership with Silas F. Miller in 1861. Incorporated the Union Insurance Company of Louisville in 1860. Employed at the meatpacking firm of Watkins, Hunt & Co. in Louisville in 1861.
