Jefferson County, Kentucky, planter. Virginia native. Married to Sarah E. Mallory. Member of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from Jefferson County from 1857 to 1859 and from 1863 to 1864. Planter in Jefferson County in 1860. Owned thirty-one enslaved persons in Jefferson County in 1860. Member of the Kentucky State Agricultural Society from 1857 to 1864. Director of the Kentucky State Agricultural Society in 1864. Murdered in Jefferson County by a Union soldier on July 27, 1864.
