Father of Charlotte Wallace, Cath Wallace, James Wallace, Nina Wallace, and Henry Wallace. Producer and manager for several stage dramas, in Boston, Massachusetts, and New York, New York, including "Westward, Ho!" and "Spy at Washington," in the 1830s. Newspaper editor at the Philadelphia Gazette and the Philadelphia North American in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Editor at the Pennsylvania Miner's Journal in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, in 1838. Editor at the Harrisburg Telegraph in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 1840. Editor at the Philadelphia Forum in Philadelphia in 1842. Agent for the Associated Press. Manager of the Louisville Theater in Louisville in 1858. Assistant Editor at the Louisville Journal from 1860 to 1865. Died in Louisville in February 1865.
