SPECIAL ORDERS,
NO. 38.

Maj Charles W Quiggins is hereby appointed Special Mustering Officer for the State, and he will supply himself with all necessary blanks and proceed to Hawesville and Henderson (and points adjacent where troops may be stationed) and muster into State Service the recruits of Maj Swinker and Shook. In making said muster he will be governed by mustering regulations prescribed for U S. service as far as practicable, and will require each recruit to be present for muster, or erase his name from the roll by drawing a red line through his name and remarks opposite same.

Transportation will be furnished upon application to the Qr Master Generals Dep^t
