We the undersigned Soldiers of K.y,, Regiments do petition your Honor to do something for our relief. We enlisted in the service of our Country to fight under the command of Ky officers: so long as we were under the cofmmand of our own officers we did not complain. But now we have so far lost our health as to be pronounced by the Surgeon not fit for field duty and have been transfered to the Invalid Corpse. This is all commanded by Eastern officers
and is made up chiefly of Eastern men. We have no privilege whatever the eastern men have all the prefference. We therefore earnestly appeal to you to do something for our relief and if we have to serve in the Invalid Corpse let us serve in our own state or at least with our own State Soldiers.
