I am informed that Col, Watts, and Surgeon Finley of the 2d K,Y, Cav'l, recommended myself to you for the position Ass't, Surgeon in there Regiment. I would therefore respectfully ask if a commission for Said position has been forwarded from your office, and if So to whom was it Sent,
