I Have the Honor of droping you a Short address

Sir I wish to know why, Gen, D, W, Lindsey will not pay the Soldiers that was under my comd while we was on duty I was compell,d, to furnish my Soldiers their Rations,, at my own Expence,, I all So had to furnish my mens forage for their Horses all of which I Have paid for Except Some five or Six Hundred dollars I Have paid for all the Horses that was musterd into the Servis of my company Except four,, Said Horses was valued and musterd Into the Servis and Rece,d, By Gen, D, W, Lindsey and orderd to actiff duty By Gen D, W, Lindsey on the 5^th day of Sept 1864

Wishes to Know why the soldiers that were under his Control are not paid, says he furnished his soldiers with rations at his own expense also Forage for thirer horses which he has paid for except some five or six Hundred dollars, says he paid for all the horses except four &c Says he asked Gen Lindsey to allow his troops to be mustered all of Which he treated with Silent Contempt or indifferent disrespect &c
