2,, The resignation of 2nd. Lieutenant John W. Evans Co. "H" 40th Ky Mt'd Vols for the good of the Service is hereby accepted, to take effect January 31^st 1864, with the condition that he shall receive no final payment until he exhibits satisfactory evidence from the head of the Ordnance Department, and the proper accounting officers of the Treasury, that he has made all prescribed returns, and is in no wise indebted to the Government.
