The Commonwealth of Kentucky
against
Peter Wilkins

The Grand Jury of M^cCracken County in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky accuse Peter Wilkins of the offence of Retailing spirituous liquors to be drank at the place of sale

Committed as follows to wit
the said Peter Wilkins on the 25^th day of July 1860 in the county aforesaid and in an open space and near the Rail Road and at or near the spring on Doct. Rawleys Land in said County Did sell without lawful authority spiritous liquors which were then and there drunk on or adjacent to the premises where sold- against the peace and dignity of the commonwealth of Kentucky

Upon which finding of the Jury the following judgement was rendered

Peter Wilkins Defendant

The parties appeared by their attorneys and the Deft, filed his plea of not guilty and therepupon the following Jurorss, viz L, D, Roberts W^m P. Allen Tho^s Moore G. W, Thompson J. B. Galbreth, J. H, Martin Sam^l Brance J. W. Cobbs & Y. J, Burchett, (the parties agree to submit the case to nine Jurors) and having heard the evidence returned the following verdict

"We of the Jury find the Deft. guilty as charged in the within indictment

It is therefore adjudged by the Court that the Deft, make his fine to the Commonwealth by the payment of Twenty Dollars and also the cost of this prosecution and execution is awarded & c,
