I would most respectfully recommend Dr. A de Lazynski as a proper person for the position of examining Surgeon in the Draft of the Militia in this county, recently ordered by the Federal Government

As to qualifications, both, as a man of eminent position in his profession, and as an ardent loyal, Union citizen, there is no one his sperior in the county.

Hoping you will give to Dr. L's. claims a favorable consideration,

P.S. I should have stated that
Dr. Lazynski was recently acting Senior Assitant Surgeon, in the 6^th Illinois Cavalry, which position he was forced to resign on account of ill health.
