STATE OF MISSOURI.

{UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL.
SALUS POPULI SUPREMA LEXESTO.

To His Excellency, Governor of Kentucky

The undersigned Governor of the State of Missouri, would inform your Excellency, that Alfred H. Hise in this State charged with the crime of Obtaining Goods under false pretences (as will fully appear by the copy of an Affidavit of M. E. Martin hereunto annexed, which I certify to be authentic,) is a fugitive from the justice of this State, and now supposed to be within the limits of the State of Kentucky

Your Excellency is therefore requested, in conformity to the Consttution and a law of the United States, to cause the said Alfred H. Hise to be delivered to ~~John~~ ^George^ H Magwire who is appointed Agent to receive him, that he may be brought into this State, and dealt with as to law and justice may appertain.
