To his Excellency Charles S. Morehead,
Governor of the state of Kentuck.

The undersigned Petitioners citizens of Henderson Co, Respectfully represent that at the last term of the Henderson Circuit court a Judgment was rendered awarding Execution against Abraham Callender & Mildred Pullim for $600 as security in a Bail Bond entered into by them for the apperance of Lewis L. Pullim in said court for Counterfeiting they say that the said Pullim was a near relative of the said Callender & Mildred Pullim who reside in Lewisport Hancock Co Ky -- that they were doubtless influenced by considerations of kindsbonds to enter his, Pullim's, security -- That they confidently expected him to appear and answer the inditement -- that they held no instrumentality in preventing his apperance -- the said Callender is a Blacksmith by [...] occupation, has a family and is in very modest circumstances, so much so, that the payment of one half the Bond would exaust his estate, the said Mildrid Pullim is a widow in limited circumstances, having no property except a Lot in Lewisport Ky, on which she resides, which would not be more than sufficent to pay one half of the said Excecutions -- that she is about 60 years of age, that the only Son on whom she relied for a sup-
port lost his life in the burning of the Steamer Rainbow, last fall, so that she has now no reliance for a support except the home she has in Lewisport and the aid of the said Callender, her son-in-law.

Wherefore they most respectfully pray that Your Excellency will remit said forfeiture.
