Dear Sir:

The following Rates of Exchange in addition to 6 per cent Iss^d adopted by the Bank for the 20. July to 23^rd same month 1861 inclusive were posted up in the principal room of the bank during said times. towit, New Orleans the 1^st of October to 1^st of May 4 months after Discount 1 per cent & ¹/₈ per cent for each additional month. And between 1^st of May & 1^st of Oc^t 4 months after Discount 1 ¹/₂ per cent & ¹/₈ per c^t for each additional month. Mobile in addition to Charges on it or ¹/₄ per cent. Baltimore, Ph^a, N Y. & Bos. ~~For 602.~~ in addition to 6 per cen per annum ¹/₃ per cent per month ^S^t Louis 60 days & under ¹/₂ per cent & ¹/₄ per cent for each additional month^. New Albany & Madison Ind^a. 60 days & under ¹/₂ per cent & ¹/₈ per cent for each additional month, all other points in Ind^a ¹/₂ per cent additional, Cincinnati, 30 days & under ¹/₆ per cent. Over 30 days at the rate of ¹/₆ per cent for each month, Kentucky. at all points same rates as at Cincinnati. Virginia 60 days & under 1 per cent & ¹/₈ per cent for each additional month Alabama (except Mobile, Georgia, N Car. & S. Car. 4 months 1 ¹/₂ per cent & ¹/₈ per cent for each additional month.

The following Rates were adopted by the Bank on 23 July 1861 in addition ~~and~~ to 6 per cent interest till 23^rd Aug^s 1861, & the same have been posted up in the principal Room of the Bank during that time At all points at which the Bank shall purchase Bills ¹/₆ per cent for 30 days & under. Over 30 days at the rate of ¹/₆ per cent for each additional month.
